Hello,

I'm trying out Tags but having a hard time figuring out how to use it
efficiently. I have a folder with many files that I want to tag. I
can tag a single file, but how can I easy start tagging the next
file? I end up doing this: ^-Space, tag, ESC, down arrow to next
file in finder, ^-Space, tag, ESC, ...

Is there a better way to do this? I guess that I would like Tags to
act like Quicklook, changing context based on the file I currently
have selected in Finder.

Thanks!

Whenever I select multiple files in the finder and use option-space, all of them are selected for tagging. It should also work to select multiple files and drag them to the Tags icon in the Dock. I cannot think of any instance where you have to tag files individually.

I have the same issue and this doesn't quite answer my question. If I have a group of files which need to be tagged individually, is there an easier way to tag than how Alfred described?

There is no feature within Tags itself (keyboard shortcuts or similar).
But you should check out the automator action and applescript support.
I think it's easy to come up with a simple Automator workflow for that.
Check out the samples from the Help menu.

Thanks, Martin, that's helpful. You should note that the Help Center states "Select the menu item Help ➞ "Automator and Script Examples" within Tags to open a folder with sample Automator workflows and Applescript files"; however, that menu command doesn't exist. I was able to find the examples at Contents > Resources > Automation within the Tags package, though.
