Good morning.  Final call to join this Saturday, October 11 for the Global Solidarity and Liberation Teach-in. Envision what practicing solidarity with those in struggle around the world looks like in the classroom.  Registration is closing at the end of the day, so register now!  Then see below for an opportunity to practice solidarity with hotel strikers locally...

Join Philly Educators for Palestine at a teach in focused on anti-colonial, anti-racist struggles and the ways that all of our liberation is intertwined. Participants will select from a variety of small group sessions covering topics such as Sudan, Congo, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, land back for Indigenous Americans, and police occupation of Black communities in the US, then have time in the afternoon to collaboratively plan lessons based on what they learn. As we approach the second anniversary of Israel's genocide in Gaza and observe Indigenous People's Day here on Turtle Island, our solidarity is more vital than ever.

Practice Solidarity Locally:  Support striking hotel workers from UNITE HERE Local 274 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown and the Hampton Inn Center City.

As Philadelphia gears up for 2026, a year expected to pour more than a billion dollars into the city’s tourism industry, hotel bosses continue to pay poverty wages. The people who keep our city’s hotels running shouldn’t have to scrape by while executives cash in.
