Hey old TAG Core!  It's great to look at who is on this list and think about our past work together. There's a solid group of six people picking up where the old TAG left off. You might have seen that we're running ItAGs again, and hosting a conference on April 18.

If you have a minute, we'd love your support in getting the word out to educators in your schools and in your communities.  See below for two specific action steps, which are highlighted.

Sending positive energy to all of you out there in these terrible times.

From your old fellow organizer,
Burgess

1.  Conference Save the Date and planning support:  Put April 18 on your calendar and join us for our Annual Education for Liberation Conference.  If you're interested in attending three 1-hour planning meetings between now and April 18, and helping with some specific tasks, respond to this email. If you have ideas about other people who might be interested, please let us know that as well.

2.  Help spread the word about ItAGs:  Forward the info below to 5 - 10 colleagues/lists.  We're especially hoping to get this to current K - 12 educators and pre-service teachers, so any connections you have in those areas would be especially appreciated.

Connect with Philly Educators: Sign Up for an ItAG Now! (Link)

We are launching the first season of Philly Inquiry to Action Groups (ItAGs) since TAG's relaunch last year.

What's an ItAG? ItAGs bring together educators and allies to learn and take action.  Over 4 - 6 weeks, ItAGs create a space for us to explore, imagine, and work towards creating the schools our students deserve.  Each ItAG will culminate in an action such as: creating a curriculum, organizing an action, sharing a resource toolkit, leading a workshop, and more, as determined by the participants.

Who runs ItAGs? These ItAGs are supported by TAG Philly, but each will be led by independent facilitators, who are educators in the TAG community.  We have an incredible slate of facilitators who are educators, advocates, and organizers ready to bring you in to this project.

Who are ItAGs for? ItAGs are open to all Philly educators and allies who are aligned with TAG's vision: TAG Philly believes every child has the right to a high-quality, equitably-funded, public education based on: participatory democratic principles; community empowerment and self-determination; a challenging, comprehensive, and critical curriculum; respect for cultural diversity and a commitment to anti-racism; and the idea that students can understand the roots of oppression and develop the skills to change the world.

What ItAGs are being offered this winter?
