Good morning,

This is to followup on the discussion that we had yesterday concerning the potential new trail from the planned parking area to the road that leads to the pond.

After a quick discussion with those that are interested in helping, we agreed that this coming Wednesday(1/21) at 10:30 would work best.

Anyone is welcome to join us.

The objectives of the trail mapping will be to:
  • Confirm the proposed corridor through the field/invasive area does not impact sensitive/desirable fauna;
  • Find the best/least impactful location to cross the small stream:
  • line the trail up with the previously tagged, but not mapped trail to the road; and
  • make sure that the proposed trail is thoroughly tagged, mapped and photographed for presentation to the Committee.

Looking forward to seeing you Wednesday!

Gary

Just a reminder about tomorrow’s mapping. We will meet at the entrance to the proposed parking area directly across from List Bypass. The entrance road up to the gate is snowy but drivable. If you are nervous about driving in the snow the best place to park is on the side of List Bypass near the intersection with Route 11. It is plenty wide and away from any traffic.

See you tomorrow!

I won’t be there today, except in spirit.
Thanks for braving the weather!

Have fun!

Hi all.  I hope everyone is warm and cozy. I'm sorry that I was unable to join you in trail mapping. I was planning to reach out to Claudia and Conrad Vispo about the possibility of Farmscape Ecology doing a quick ecological analysis of the area that you mapped out for the potential  trail connection.  I know this is an action item for me for our next meeting. Can you give me an idea of the approximate size of the area, so that I can share this with them.

Many  thanks.  Tim
