Greetings all-

It's been a few months since we've discussed Estrella attendance. I
know my mundane life has had me by the balls lately, so I haven't
really been too sure about what I was going to do. I am not pre-
registered, and Jan2 was the deadline for having our pre-reg info
count toward space in a barony. In any case, after last year's
experience with Twin Moons, I'm more keen on trying out overflow. Did
anyone pre-reg?

I'm not going to make it out 'til Friday evening, so who is going to
claim our camping spot? Also, as some of you already know, I don't
have my truck any more. So I will not be able to bring firepits or my
bad-ass dragon tent :'( Ryan, Dawn... didn't one of you have a
firepit?

I do still have the household toasting chalice, and the Saturday night
festivities are still a go as far as I know!!

I have actually been meaning to email everyone for weeks now about this. Sir Avram has offered to let us camp next to him in the Outlands, and even cook us dinner! (his meals are the best of the best) I am under the impression that only Clint, Mac, Dave, maybe Julie, maybe Ron, Heinrich, Ryan and I are all that will be attending. Is that correct?

Is anyone planning to get there before Friday? I was actually thinking of going up Friday morning.

Ryan does have a fire pit.

Is anyone interested in taking up Sir Avram's kind offer? I just need to let him know how many tents, and how many for dinner.....

Absolutely, take him up on the offer. That sounds great.

I was planning to go up on Thursday. Anybody else going up Thursday,
or will I be the first one there?

Well, if nobody else is going up Thursday, then I'll go up Friday
morning too. Spending Thursday night at Estrella alone does not sound
much like fun. Besides, I do not know Sir Avram. In fact, I do not
even know what he looks like.

Dawn, do you want to caravan up in the morning?

I checked about Pre-Reg today, 'cause I thought it was closed. It is
still open online through 1/17/10. It is $70 for those arriving
Friday if done online, $75 if paying at Troll. I think I'll be coming
up on Saturday. I remember complaining when the admission went up to
$30! Times have changed.

Are we still a go for camping next to Sir Avram?  Do you have a good head-count now, and is he ok with it?  I never heard back about the suggestion of him skipping making us dinner and just bring over a dish for feast night (heck, his whole camp can join us for that matter!)

I've been in talks with him/the outlands, we are just waiting for clearance, which we should get.  in the last 2 weeks or so he got an invite to camp with the period/royal camp, (which he often camps with, and I've camped with some of them as well.  very nice people, but very very into it) and is sure it should be no problem us camping with them.  just waiting to hear back before I send something out to all.  (one always needs permission to set up a blob of mundane tents in the middle of a period encampment, but these should just be formalities, he foresees no problem.)  My count is 6 tents.  8 people friday, 9 or 10 saturday.

I'll send something out as soon as I know something solid.  should be soon.

I dropped the land coordinator for Estrella War an email a little over a month ago, about finding camping space at Estrella.  The land coordinator got back to me yesterday.   She said that she can find space for us at Estrella with the kingdom, provided we get everyone pre-reged (the deadline has been extended to tomorrow).

I know we have been working the Outland's angle.  However, I'm not sure where that is at. Should we even attempt this other angle, or just leave it alone.  I guess I can ask her about overflow.

with 3 different options we are bound to have a spot to put our tents.

I'm not sure we can do that by tomorrow. As a result, I've been

I am all for camping with Outlands, if everyone else is in accord.  It's good that we have a few options open, too.

It's also time to start figuring out who's bringing what for Saturday night Household feast.

Firewood sounds pretty easy this year.  If we have 9 campers for 2 nights, $5 each will get us a truck load!  For such a small camp, we may have to scale down the firewood or scale up the in-camp partying!!

Let's see I trusted you guys to lead me through a cave, so yea, a chainsaw in my yard doesn't even make me flinch in the slightest.

You're going to make me a sculpture of the Eiffel Tower with a chain saw!?!?!? I can't wait, it would be absolutelyy perfect!  That's the best idea you've ever had.  When can you start?

I have a lot of table and chairs, a stove, a shade thingy...
