EaseUS Data Recovery Tool took about 8 hours to read the disk, but was able to find all 600GB+ of data. I can preview images, text documents and music if I double click them (takes awhile), but when I try to recover the data, it hangs on 'Recovering File' and does not work, no % was made after 10+ hours. This was attempted again with recovering one image, no % was made after 10+ hours again.

In general, however, data recovery software is safe and can be a helpful tool if you've lost important files with intuitive graphic user interface. However, it's essential to be careful when using these programs, as they can sometimes cause more damage to your device. If you're unsure whether it's safe to use data recovery software, it's always best to consult with a professional.

Data recovery software is a program that can be used to recover lost or deleted files from your computer. When a file is deleted, the data is not actually erased from your hard drive. Instead, the file space occupied is simply marked as empty and available for new data. As long as the old data is not overwritten, it can be recovered using special software. Data recovery tools work by scanning your hard drive for any traces of the lost data. Once they have located the data, they can then rebuild the files and save them to a new location. In most cases, data recovery software can successfully recover lost files with little to no damage. However, if the data has been overwritten, it will be much more difficult to recover.

The system constantly reboot and freeze with an error message displayed on the screen or even stop working entirely without any notifications? Don't worry. Try EaseUS data recovery software to copy out all the critical files.

Hard disk does not respond and hear a few "biz biz" when you're trying to boot from it, and then it stops and becomes inaccessible? Try EaseUS data recovery software to recover data from the dead hard drive and do hard disk repair.

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free is one of the best document recovery softwares available for Windows. It has a wide range of features, an organized and accessible interface, and the confidence that comes from using a program that has helped users all over the world since 2005.

With EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard you can search for data that has been accidentally deleted, formatted or saved incorrectly and, if necessary, reconstruct it. You can get back deleted and overwritten ...

After accidentally deleting weeks of animations I purchased easeUS data recovery software for over One Hundred dollars, I recovered all the animations and they were all empty black movies. I contacted "technical help" and they sent me a link to an infantile crude wiki page on how to determine what kind of drive I am using! I couldn't believe it, I think a ten year old child could offer me more help than these morons. The easeUS software knew it was a SSD and I certainly knew this patently obvious information. So why deceive people into thinking easeUS can recover data from SSDs, a format of drive that many people are using these days? This was their logic, because it was my SSD that it was not easeUS softwares fault for the complete lack of recovery. So easeUS refused a refund.

BEWARE of this company, they will deceive you and refuse to refund precious money that customers are fooled into paying easeUS. This is not a user friendly software company it is a data recovery scam and swindle run by thieves and con men who lie and deceive to make a living.

easeUS advertising is so deceptive that they promise recovery of data that cannot be recovered. No where in the advertising and online information is any mention that SSD data cannot be recovered by easeUS. They basically put the blame on the customer so they can refuse refunds for their deceptively advertised software.

Recently I was in a need to recover deleted files from my WD external HDD, so I plugged in the external hdd to my MACBook , searched in google and downloaded a software named "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac" from the website easeus.com, installed the same and ran a scan pointing to me external hdd.

I was just curious about this one. How is it possible that a drive can have 3TB of data recovered on it but the maximum size of the drive itself is 2TB?

I understand that maybe it could be seeing older data there, but even if that were the case, how would it exceed 2TB, since that older data space would have to have been overwritten if the full 2TB was used?

The file size is in the initial header, so when the recovery software finds traces of old files, you're going to have more data than what's actually possible to fit on the disk due to the header and leftover bits from old deleted data.

You will find that several files will be either duplicates or fully corrupted and the wrong file size. Look through the recovery and try to identify the problem files/folders. It's a bi-product of the corrupted file system trying to spit out any file that could potentially been proper on the drive. You do have good files though, right?

A fun next step is to run another recovery app on the same data set to find out their results. It's best to have a few apps in your arsenal instead of one as the recovered data set can be drastically different from one to the next.

GetDataBack, R-Studio are both good if you are willing to spend a little money. Since you won't do a lot of recovery, use the ones that have worked for you in the past and if the data isn't there or you think there should be a better recovery, try a free version of another and then another. You will build your own suite of tools starting with what works for you.

I took the plunge and tried Easeus, I used my book as a backup, so virtually all my data is some where else, so not much to lose. There were a couple spreadsheets that took a long time to build that had the most recent version on the my book, so I wanted to get them back rather than rework a December version.

This site is dedicated to helping confused users choose the right tool for their specific needs. We break down the features and performance of data recovery software and score them against what users typically need in a data loss scenario.

On the other hand, EaseUS Data Recovery did not crash at all and was able to pull data from FAT32 and exFAT partitions, but it struggled to recover the original file structure and file names. EaseUS worked great with our NTFS partition, recovering our data along with the original file structure and file names.

Unfortunately, the results got worse when we moved on to quick scan testing. Again, Stellar Data Recovery crashed multiple times with our FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, and even EXT4 partitions. While it does manage to restore some of our data when it works, the constant crashes make it impossible to test conclusively.

During our real-life recovery challenge, we aim to do two things: (1) discover what commonly used file types Stellar Data Recovery and EaseUS Recovery Wizard recognize, and (2) how much of each file type these apps can restore. Our three categories are RAW photo recovery, video recovery, and document recovery.

When testing RAW photo recovery, EaseUS was obviously superior. It missed 5 out of the 37 file types we tested: X3i, MPO, JP2, INSP, and EXR. However, the amount of data recovered per file type varies. In comparison, Stellar missed 16 file types out of 37, including those of common manufacturers like Nikon, Konica, Samsung, Canon, GoPro, Hasselblad, and more.

Overall, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard proved to be more reliable in every category of our real-life recovery challenge. We would recommend Stellar Data Recovery when attempting to restore BRAW video files and non-Microsoft Office document files. However, remember that Stellar often crashes so manage your expectations.

While sorely lacking extra features, EaseUS emerges as the unquestionable victor in this bout. While Stellar offers a lot of bells and whistles for its price, it fails to be an excellent data recovery software due to its frequent crashes and mediocre performance.

Over the course of time, most Windows users will experience a data loss event. This can happen for a number of reasons, many of which are out of your control. You might find that some files are missing after an application or operating system upgrade. Perhaps you are sorting through your photos and inadvertently delete a bunch of pictures.

In the case of unexplained missing files or if you have emptied your Recycle Bin before discovering that you have lost some data, you need to use specialized data recovery software. Data recovery applications will scan your hard drive and attempt to restore files that have not yet been overwritten by the operating system.

EaseUS Data Recovery offers the user a simple way to recover from a variety of data loss scenarios. It is supported on all the newest versions of Windows & macOS and can be used to recover just about any type of deleted file. Retrieve lost files from an emptied Recycle Bin by employing the deep scanning capabilities of this application.

This powerful data recovery tool can help you restore data from formatted drives or lost partitions as well as from damaged storage media. The software provides a 3-step wizard to simplify the recovery process.

The first alternative we will look at is Disk Drill data recovery software by CleverFiles. This comprehensive and feature-rich recovery tool has a number of additional features designed to help you maintain the health of your hard drive and the security of your data.

Another free option for Windows users facing a data loss situation is Recuva. It can recover files from damaged disks and formatted drives as well as accidentally deleted files that are no longer in the Recycle Bin.
