Hey guys,

Thanks for the quick feedback, I have gone ahead and fixed (hopefully)
the crash reports I was sent. I have not managed to fix (or reproduce)
the crazy album art screenshot I was sent that showed the album view
page being drawn incorrectly for scrolling too fast. I have also not
implemented any performance upgrades at the moment but will try to do
this in the future.

Some other changes:
- Implemented a mouseover that displays the full text of a tag
- Hopefully fixed the Name... being sent to iTunes rather than the
full name

Also registration should be disabled in this build if its not please
post here to let me know and I will work out why.

Try open Tagalicious and see if it offers you an auto update, if not
download from the same place as last time.

Thanks,

The previous beta I had did auto update when I started it, but it
still asked me to register. I uninstalled and reinstalled using your
link and it now isn't saying anything about buying it. Hopefully that
helps anyone with the same problem. Now I will get to actually testing
this, thanks!

Is it supposed to take a while every time it looks up a song tag,
during which the program's unresponsive?

It does take a while to look up a tag but the program should not
becoming unresponsive, you should be able to look up other tags,
scroll through music, etc

It seems to become unresponsive for me as well when it is looking up
tags. examples of this behavior are I can't move the window around,
scroll the song list, etc...

OS: Windows 7 32-bit, iTunes 10.2.0.34

I, too, seem to get some unresponsiveness when looking up tags.
Especially so when no tags are found.

Another thing: there seem to be problems when a dialog window (such as
"Get info") is open(/ed) in iTunes while using Tagalicious. Some
examples and remarks:
-If a window is open in iTunes while launching Tagalicious: you don't
get anything to Tagalicious library or playlists and get an error
saying you don't have iTunes installed. Option to terminate
Tagalicious is offered.
-If a dialog window is opened while using Tagalicious: after you click
any item in Tagalicious you get the following error: pic:
http://i.imgur.com/AQ6vq.png a detailed error log is presented at the
end of this message. Error options: Continue keeps the program running
and fully responsive while quit terminates it cleanly.

This error is well handled when user has opened dialog window and
tries to view a different playlist in Tagalicious. An error message
with correct information is produced and program stays fully
responsive.

Hope this helps. This program is definitely among the better tagging
software out there as far as I've tested any :) Thanks for the good
work.

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

It offered an update, which opened IE (not my default browser) which
then complained about ActiveX controls (which I attempted to allow)
and then nothing happened.

Thanks for your help guys, I need to know your computer setups though
so I can debug the performance problems. Please reply with your
computer specs and windows version.

Hope it helps. I've tested it a few more times and pretty much the same deal. It becomes unresponsive both to selecting other songs within the program, moving the program window, or anything else. It's especially bad if I use shift + click to select multiple songs on a line.
