Hey all --

Here's the last beta of Tagalicious before we put it out for a general
release. Please do a lot of testing and send in those crash reports!

In order to use this beta, you will need to delete your existing
Tagalicious database file. This file is located at ~/Library/
Application Support/Tagalicious/database.sql . If you don't do this,
you will likely experience crashes and weird behavior.

You can download beta 10 here: http://files.thelittleappfactory.com/tagalicious/Tagalicious_1.1b10.zip
.

Things that have changed:

• fixed that obnoxious bug where a bunch of songs would seemingly get
tagged with the same set of tags, even though they were incorrect
• Dock icon stops bouncing as soon as possible (much sooner than it
used to if you have a big library)
• no more returning random album art results because the suggested
album name is "Unknown Album" or its blank
• badge in details pane view is now in upper-right instead of bottom-
right
• fixed enabling of menu items and buttons in details pane to
correctly track status
• icon view gets album art correctly updated when new tag results come
in
• rollover problems in the details pane when scrolling have been fixed
• fixed lookup errors not correctly being shown in the UI
• tracks get saved to disk only after they are fingerprinted; this
makes launch startup times a LOT faster if you happened to select all
your tracks and told them all to tag
• filter search box has a small delay now, so that people with large
libraries should be able to type easily
• sorting by certain columns now shows blank tags at the *end* rather
than the beginning
• this beta works correctly on 10.5, but the icon view had to be
disabled because it was causing massive crashes that don't seem
resolvable (this may be new to iTunes 10)
• various other small UI, performance, and stability improvements

Wonderful! SO much better. I know I haven't been a very active beta
tester (and for that I apologize), but I would just like to point out
how much better this is to when I originally volunteered. So far no
bugs, but testing is to be done. Just wanted to say great work.

Simone,

Not sure what is going on, but it still crashes for me every 5
minutes. I deleted and started with a fresh new DB. The duplication
bug is gone, but I can't tag more than 50 songs before this app
crashes. Let me know what I can do to help.... but pretty unusable
still, sorry to say. Sent in the automatic logs a couple of times
already -- I'm just clicking around the app and selecting ~50 songs to
check and it bombs out. My library is nearly 14,000 songs. The app
loads fine, mostly just crashing on looking up tags.

Mclark: fixed this problem in 1.1b11. Please delete your database and
test this out again. The problem should be gone -- the tracks that
previously got weird art should just display an error now and no new
art.

Russ: I've made some stability fixes in 1.1b11. Please see if this
addresses your issues. If not, please submit crashes via the Crash
Reporter with your name and/or e-mail address so that I can look up
exactly what problem you're having. Thanks!
