Hi Leth --
Thanks for your feedback!
Regarding preferences to turn off lyrics, one of our goals w/
Tagalicious is to keep the application as simple as possible, and
offering more preferences makes things more complicated. Tagalicious
will always look up lyrics, but it's actually one of the fastest part
of the lookups -- fingerprinting and getting the other tags usually
takes much more time. I'll consider this, but I don't think we'll add
a preference for this.
The ability to update track number and count is coming in 1.2. (I
already have internal builds that do this, and you'll be able to beta
test this once 1.1.2 is released.)
As for being able to play the selected song, you can do this in two
steps by revealing the selected song in iTunes (Command-Shift-R), and
then playing it (Space). Since there are a lot of things that a user
might want to do with that track in iTunes (transfer tags and then
edit them, etc.), the best way to support all of this would be to
simply allow the user to reveal the track in iTunes. As w/the
suggestion to turn off lyrics fetching, we'd like to keep things as
simple as possible, and the "Reveal in iTunes" menu item is the best
"all-inclusive" action for manipulating the song in iTunes.
