Hey all --

Here's Tagalicious 1.1.2b9. If there are no show-stopping bugs, this
will be the release version. You can download 1.1.2b9 at
http://files.thelittleappfactory.com/tagalicious/Tagalicious_1.1.2b9_app_store.zip
. PLEASE TEST THIS VERSION and let me know if it works OK. A simple
"looks good" is fine, but I'd like as much feedback as possible on
this build.

Note: this is an "App Store" build of Tagalicious. This means that no
serial number is required to run this version, but it *will* expire on
Feb 28. So please test it out before then. I just want to get some
testing done on an App Store build to make sure things are going OK
there, too.

In this App Store build, you should no longer see "Registration..." or
"Check for Updates..." menu items in the Tagalicious menu, nor the
"Retrieve Lost Registration..." menu item in the Help menu. However,
you SHOULD still see the Crash Reporter if Taggy crashes, and you
SHOULD still see the "Send Feedback..." menu item. Please tell me
immediately if any of these are not the case.

Finally, after updating 50 songs with this version of Tagalicious, a
little strip should appear at the top of the main window asking if
you'd like to rate Tagalicious on the Mac App Store. If you've
previously purchased Tagalicious from the Mac App Store, please try to
rate it and see what happens. You can delete your review afterwards,
if you wish. If you click either the X or the "Rate" button in the
strip, it should disappear, never to be seen again (unless you delete
your preferences file). PLEASE CONFIRM that you see this view and
that it functions correctly.

Here are the other changes since 1.1.2b6:

• added French, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish localizations. If
you speak any of these languages, please let me know what you think
and if everything works normally as it does in English!
• if you tell iTunes to keep your library organized, you can now mark
updated songs as untagged, and they will correctly retag even if
iTunes moved them

Thanks for all the help you guys provide. If you're on this list and
have provided helpful feedback, but don't yet have a serial number or
a Mac App Store download, contact me directly at simone [at] tlaf
[dawt] com to get one.

Hy Simone,

I tested the App Store build and everything worked as expected.

The 'old' menu items are no longer available and the new items are
where
they should. As Tagalicious never crashed, I can not say if there is a
crash reporter :-)

After I updated 50 songs I saw the little strip at the top of the main
window.
Sorry, but as I bought Tagalicious the old way, I'm not able to rate
it.

I also checked the german translation - I'm a native speaker.
Everything's
translated absolutely perfect!

Last but not least I tried to untag a previously tagged and moved
file.
The problem no longer exists!

Congratulations! I think it's ready to release.

Cu leth

I tagged my library, around 3000 songs with the previous beta, and
haven´t had a problem at all. There doesn´t seem to be bugs in this
beta either. Will test some more, but it seems like it is ready :)

Having problems posting to the forums, but trying again :)

I´ve tagged 3000 songs and there hasn´t been a problem at all.

From my testing, I can confirm that everything appears to be OK. I've
not be able to break things - yet. I'll keep trying.

Thanks

Thanks for all your feedback, everybody! Glad that everything seems
to be working great. I've extended the beta build to Mar 7, but you
need to redownload it from the link in the first message of this
thread. Please continue to try and screw things up!

hello everyone,

i have noticed tagalicious and itunes slowing down my machine from time to time. glancing at activity usually shows between 30-120% cpu in 64bit with tagalicious. when sending tags to itunes I have not seen any locking up with tagalicious. however but itunes will change to not responding from time to time. while this happens the computer will becomes slow until itunes changes its not responding status. other than that everything else looks great so far in my testing.

i am running a macbook, 2GHz Core 2 Due, 2GB ddr3 with OSX 10.6.6.

one feature request though, when you are applying and sending all tags to itunes, it would be great to see a progress bar of some kind. the check marks are great, but it would help when doing other things on the computer to be able to quickly glance and see the progress. perhaps a progress bar on the dock icon would be sufficient.
