Samsung Health is awesome by itself, but there are ways to get even more out of it. First, you can sync the app and your phone to Samsung Health-compatible devices, like fitness bands, smart watches, headphones, and some smart TVs to help you stay on track with your fitness needs. You can also sync your other favorite fitness apps to Samsung Health, so you can have all your fitness data in one place.
Since you can't bring your phone in the pool with you, why not connect your smart watch to Samsung Health so you can keep track of your laps? Adding an accessory is easy to do and can be completed using the Samsung Health app. If you have already connected and set up your Samsung device in the Galaxy Wearable app, it will show as a registered accessory in Samsung Heath.
Samsung Health can connect with a number of other apps, like workplace wellbeing programs, to make it easier for you to track your health all in one place. If you've connected another app to Samsung Health, you can manage its individual permissions so it only reads the data you want to share.
Note: With the Samsung Health app version 6.15 and later, you must sign into your Samsung account to use Samsung Health. If you don't want to create a Samsung account on your phone, you can download your Samsung Health data to your phone storage instead.
Samsung Health can also be used on your TV. We recommend connecting your mobile app and other compatible accessories (such as a Samsung Galaxy watch) with the experience on your TV. This will allow you manage your health and wellness across multiple devices.
In order to use Samsung Health on your TV, the TV must be logged in with the same Samsung account as your Samsung Health mobile app, and you must link your two accounts together. This can be done using the dashboard on the Samsung Health TV app.
Fitness content provided by Samsung TVs can also be accessed in the Samsung Health app on your phone. Open the Samsung Health app, and then tap the Fitness tab to view different content.
Every time you enter the Dashboard on a unique session (in either the mobile app or TV app) the data presented in the Dashboard is refreshed. There is also a refresh button you can select if you want to force a refresh of your data.
Please note: If you are not seeing the ability to connect to Strava under the Data sharing and authorization menu in Huawei Health it is because this integration is only available in select countries.
Do I understand right? What, synchronization between `huawei health kit ==>> strava` happens between huawei and strava servers? and not from my app directly to strava?
I tried the `health sync` app and after about 5 syncs with the strava servers I hit your server request limits. That is, it seems that you are throttling number of requests. This leads to the data being out of sync at some point. And this has nothing to do with what the support writes above about being in a particular country. For people, synchronization first works, after a while it stops working, there is no stable work.
And why is sync done via `health sync` better than directly `huawei health kit ==>> strava` ?
It turns out that a third-party developer has found a way to get more data from the huawei health kit and upload it to strava?
I have same problem, i bought Huawei GT2 because i want to track all of my activities and sync them to Strava but the watch 2-3 years later doesnt sync... Link is broken and it does not sync anything. Please fix thit asap.... becauase a lots of people are heartbroken and stop using the watch and switch to some other brands. Thanks!
Sorry to hear of the difficulty and yes, it should be available in New Zealand. If you're still having problems, the best action would be to reach out to the Huawei support team for further assistance.
It's a bit frustrating as I've recorded several Hikes and pool swims which can't be shared. But so long as its land based just record your activities as 'outdoor walk' or 'outdoor run' and it seems to register.
As the alternatives to some best watch devices like Apple Watch or Fitbit Versa, Huawei Watch offers the functionality to listen to music in its Music app. For mobile devices users, it's convenient to connect your Android or iOS devices to your Huawei Watch and play some streaming music services, including Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play Music and Deezer.
As a supported music player, Amazon Music is controllable on your Huawei Watch. You can start to follow these steps to see how you can use your phone to control your Amazon Music playback on your Huawei Watch.
However, it's not always convenient to bring your Huawei Watch and your phone device together when you are working out. No worries. There's one available method to enable the independent listening experience with your favorite Amazon Music on your Huawei Watch GT 2, that is, to directly play the Amazon Music files on your watch.
Huawei provide this powerful music transfer option for devices owners to transfer their own music to the device right in the Huawei Health app. However, if you want to have the actual files of Amazon Music contents, you'll need to purchase the selling MP3 from the Amazon Music Digital. To save efforts and cost, we'd like to introduce the best alternative to download the Amazon Music files for your Huawei Watch.
To download Amazon MP3 Music, you can use an Amazon Music converter. ViWizard Amazon Music Converter features the best Amazon Music downloader to help Amazon Music users convert and download the desired contents in 6 supported audio files formats. For Huawei Watch, you just need to adjust the output format to MP3 or AAC. After the conversion, the MP3s are yours to transfer to your watch.
Choose the right version of ViWizard Amazon Music Converter and download it. As soon as you launch ViWizard Amazon Music Converter, the program will launch Amazon Music automatically. After that, just drag or copy and paste your favorite songs to the search bar. Then you can see the songs are added and shown in the screen, waiting to be downloaded and converted for Huawei Watch.
Before converting the songs, click the menu icon and next to click 'Preference'. For Huawei Watch-supported audio formats, you can convert songs on the list to AAC or MP3 in ViWizard. For better audio quality, you can choose to maximize AAC and MP3 format's output bit rate to 320kbps.
Check the songs on the list again and notice there is the output path at the bottom of the screen, which shows where the output files will be saved after the conversion. Click the 'Convert' button, the Amazon Music downloads will be complete at a 5x speed. You can browse the converted music files at the 'converted' icon that next to the output path's bar.
While Windows requires a USB cable to connect the Android smart phone, Mac users should also have the Android File Transfer to help finish the task. If you have iTunes, you can also upload the converted Amazon Music files to it then sync to your iPhone.
6. You'll also see a notification of "These songs will be transferred to your watch. You can still use your phone during transfer." Click OK to continue to the transfer.
The Porsche Design style is eye-catching, and the large circular face is a welcome break from the squared-off smartwatches I typically test and wear. The style caught the attention of friends and fans of traditional watches.
The Porsche Design logo on its face is prominent but not overdone, and it blends nicely into the overall design of the face. The light color of the titanium body and strap accentuates the dark edge of the watch's face.
I found the preset watch faces offered a nice mix of style from formal and active to information-dense options. There are a range of complications, the proper name for the different sections of information on the watch, and on some faces you can tap to see additional information on the main screen. The sapphire glass face held up well to bumps against doors and even brick without leaving a mark. My Apple Watch Series 6 doesn't hold up that well to similar abuse.
The titanium band is easy to adjust to fit, thanks to the ability to remove links without needing to go to a jeweler. The band held up well to wear for the extended test period, though it did start to show a little mark from where it rubs against my MacBook Air. The watch also comes with a band that's designed for working out. It's effortless to switch bands.
This watch has a 5ATM water-resistance rating and designed for activity and workouts for swimming, skiing and more. The 5ATM rating means that the watch can withstand pressure similar to being under 164 feet of water, but it's designed with swimming or splashes in mind, not water sports or diving.
The Porsche Design Huawei Watch GT 2 is compatible with both iPhone and Android. It connects by Bluetooth to your phone, and it can act as a speakerphone for taking calls over Bluetooth, but you cannot buy one with a cellular connection built in.
I rely on the watch for notifications, which mirror those on the iPhone. This allows me to view messages, Slack notifications, social media alerts, to see who is calling me and more. The Huawei Health app allows you to customize some of the notifications, but the control isn't as deep as with the Apple Watch and the iPhone. You cannot respond to most notifications without getting your phone out of your pocket. The ability to answer a call is handy, and the speaker is sufficiently loud, but I still stick to headphones or my phone for any call that lasts longer than a minute or two.
This is a smartwatch geared toward working out, and there are over 100 workout options on it. I mainly tested those for walking and running, but you can select cycling, swimming, driving range, snowboarding, skiing, belly dancing, fishing and many others. If you can think of a workout type, there is an excellent chance that this watch can track it with this smartwatch.
