Hello!
Here's some words that I think we've used so far (or may use):
Thank you - Kamsa Hamnae Da "Kamsa-ham-ni-da"
Master - Sabomnim "Sah-bum-nim"
Greetings/Hello - Ahn-nyong-ha-say-yo
You're welcome - Chon-ma-ne- yo
Taekwondo training room - Do-jang
Our opening and closing ceremony is abbreviated since we don't kneel
and meditate, but from what I got in the net, here's what we seem to
be saying:
Opening Ceremony
charyot - Attention stance
kuk-ki-yea tae-hae (guk-gi-e dae-ha-yeo) - Face the flags
kyong-ye (gyeong-nye)- Salute (put your hand on your heart)
baro - Return to attention stance (do we do this? no?)
sa-bum nim gae (sa-beom-nim kke) -Face the instructor (do we do this?
no?)
kyong-ye (gyeong-nye) - Bow (do we do this? no?)
Good Afternoon (this is Jackie's version)
Closing Ceremony:
charyot -Attention stance
kuk-ki-yea tae-hae (guk-gi-e dae-ha-yeo)- Face the flags
kyong-ye -(gyeong-nye) Salute (put your hand on your heart)
sa-bum nim gae (sa-beom-nim kke)-Face the instructor
kyong-ye (gyeong-nye)- Bow
ko-map sum-nee-da -Thank you very much
(or "Kamsa-ham-ni-da" - Thank you)
Then we do the class cheer - Ready to fight 1-2-3 Ha!
Here is the complete traditional ceremony from the net:
http://chk-taekwondo.com/id167.html
Fortunately, for our class, it is abbreviated since it is rather
lengthy if you read it from the net.
Please correct what I wrote above if you remember what else is missing
or what needs to be removed.
In that way, we can say everything with ease.
Thanks again!
