Both girls were wearing blue kilts with straps that went over their shoulders, white blouses with lace edging the collars and sleeves, white knee socks, and black patent leather Mary Jane shoes. Their brown hair was cut in a bowl shape, framing their faces, and each twin had put on a blue headband with a blue bow on the side of it. Also, each wore a silver ring on the pinky finger of her right hand, and a beaded identification bracelet on her left wrist.
On the other hand, kicking off a story immediately with an in-your-face villain is a tried-and-true method. In Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh, you know by the third line in the prologue that Joshua Kane is a cold-blooded killer.

But Fallon also came prepared with multiple photos of other people's Tim Tebow tattoos, which led the past Heisman Trophy winner to tell the story of how it "freaked (him) out" the first time he saw one of these "crazy" tattoos in real life (at the 3-minute mark).
Paul Stephen works in San Francisco and was a passenger on the plane, sitting at the front of the fully-booked flight. He said about 25 minutes after takeoff, a flight attendant announced there was an emergency onboard.
In 1968, Justin McLeod has been living an isolated existence as a reclusive painter for the past seven years, after a car accident that left him disfigured on the right side of his face, with chest burns sustained in the post-crash fire.
At mail call, he is given back the letters he had sent to McLeod which were marked undeliverable. Needing to investigate, Chuck returns to McLeod's house only to find it empty, except for a painting he had done of Chuck that summer and a letter written by McLeod. The letter explains that McLeod has moved on and that he wishes Chuck the best of luck in his academic goals, thanking him for the gift of grace he'd so unexpectedly been given. Afterwards, Chuck is shown graduating from the military academy as his sisters and their mom (along with her newest husband) look on proudly. Chuck sees a familiar figure in the distance and recognizes it as his "faceless" tutor. They silently greet each other.
Marjorie Baumgarten of The Austin Chronicle was more critical, writing "Perhaps more accurately titled The Man with Half a Face, you can practically tell what kind of emotion each particular scene is going to convey solely by the angle from which Gibson's face is shot."[7] She criticized the film's continuity gaps and said, "There's not all that much that keeps this story moving, and the set-ups are all obvious and predictable."[7]
Book club questions for Yellowface by R.F. Kuang takes an in-depth look at this compelling novel about racism and cultural appropriation. There will be spoilers so for more context about the story, check out my spoiler-free review first.
A pergola 80 feet long and 10 feet wide will connect the house with a conservatory in the rear lot. This building is 18 feet wide by 60 feet and 15 feet high. To the left or west of the conservatory is the stable, which is practically finished. Both conservatory and stable are faced with the Roman brick and contain series of balanced angles of their own. All the buildings will be fireproof.
The outside steps of the house will be concealed by piers of the face brick topped by concrete coping on which will be placed stone vases four feet across. Although the top of the basement windows will be three feet above the level of the ground they, too, will be hidden. A series of terraces will effectually bar them from outside observation. Yet they will shed a profusion of light into that section of the building.

Despite the chaotic scene, Brown was ultimately moved to the U.S. ... and booked into a San Diego jail on Tuesday. On Wednesday, cops revealed he was taken in on a warrant for first-degree murder in the death of his mom, Myrtle Brown, who was found deceased with apparent assault injuries last month.
This year is a very big one for me as I'm getting married in three months. The wedding is abroad, everything's already organised, many people have booked their flights and accommodation. Me and my fiance are planning our life together. I can't imagine everything being disrupted by a breast cancer diagnosis.
More than that, I can't imagine trying to face breast cancer if that is the diagnosis. The GP said I should try not to worry, and that most cases are benign, but I am upset that I was referred so quickly.
As Darren predicted, he must face Steve alone. Darren fights Steve Leopard, who almost kills Darren. However, he sits on top of Darren after wounding him, gloating and boasting about his victory while stabbing him twice in the stomach. The exhausted Darren gets a burst of energy and is able to sneak in a fatal blow as Steve gloats, ending the drawn out battle.
It's true that Herbert mostly ignored the discourse ahead of the draft. ESPN's Desmond Howard questioned his ability to win over a locker room compared to Burrow; the quote spread like an oil spill, but Herbert says he didn't hear it until the comments resurfaced this spring, after he won Offensive Rookie of the Year. He insists he didn't care -- but concedes he did have to answer pointed queries from NFL teams, some of whom shared similar concerns. "I'd go to a meeting and they'd say, 'Well, we've heard some issues about your leadership ability,'" he says. "I said, 'Listen, I'm myself. Ask my teammates.' I'd give them examples."
