Important: Only certain devices and carriers support recording calls. This feature isn't available on Pixel. Some laws require all people on the call to consent to being recorded. Before the call begins, call participants are notified that the call is recorded.
To protect the privacy of all users, when you start recording, both parties are notified with a disclosure that the call is being recorded. When you stop recording, both parties are notified with a disclosure that the call is no longer being recorded.
I have Call Recorder ACR app on my mobile phone. I've linked to Dropbox to store my phone recordings. They appear in Dropbox after each call but I can't get them to play on Windows Media Play although it supposedly supports 3GP and MP4, both of which I've tried. Any suggestions?
File types (extensions) don't matter too much. It's the codec used to encode the video that matters most, and different codecs can (and often do) use the same file type. If you don't have the appropriate codec for your video installed then you won't be able to play it.
Personally, I prefer to use VLC over Windows Media Player. It has the ability to play nearly everything you throw at it because it has a large number of the required codecs built-in. Media Player, on the other hand, only supports a limited number of codecs out of the box.
When you "play' via the Dropbox website you actually are seeing a "Preview" file. These are in a different format from the original and some browsers will not play them. Instead of using the web browser, play the files directly from your HardDrive's Dropbox folder. To locate the folder look in "Preferences"Account Tab"Location" and put a shortcut to that location on your desktop.

You'rewelcome. DB has made the process different: on a PC, click on the dropbox icon in the task bar. A window appears. At the top right there is a . Click that an a dropdown menu appears. Select "Preferences" from that, then the "account" tab, and look for the location of your dropbox there. Copy that location and create a shortcut on your desktop to that location.
Double-click the "Dropbox" icon that's on your desktop. If Dropbox isn't running, it will launch it. If it is running, it will open your Dropbox folder. Also, double-clicking the icon in your system tray will open the folder location, as will clicking the icon once and clicking the folder icon.
Rich, Thanks for "If Dropbox isn't running, it will launch it. If it is running, it will open your Dropbox folder." because others have complained that drag-n-drop onto the shortcut didn't work - now we can see why. Question is, if db is running, will dragn-n-drop on the shortcut work?

Am i wrong, or did Jolla communicate lately, that call recording will just work anymore with system own functions. I guess maybe of security reasons as russian authorities will be using the system, or also because of privacy reasons with the european legislation. You can enable call recording in the developper options, did you try?
as suggested i would upgrade to the latest version of the call recording software. usually this will fix it. Seem like something is not started. Check if the call recording services is started. Did you make any changes or update that you know of that this started to happen?
Since my last update I ended up reaching out to Blue Butler support, Blue Butler is the third party software they use for indexing and managing the recordings.
After looking into the shoretel logs, they were able to figure out that the remaining scenarios for calls not being recorded were just calls that had been transferred.
This was fixed by unchecking persistent recording on the call recorder settings.
Hi, I was SO pleased to see GrapheneOS now includes a call recorder. I can finally get rid of horrible spammy call recorder apps! It took me months, testing over 12 of them, to find one that worked (CubeACR) and it recorded all calls automatically except friends and family. It was great, functionally speaking, but I never liked having it on my phone, but it's essential I record calls.
Graphene's recorder is superior in sound quality, and works via speaker or bluetooth which NO other app I have tried does! It's fantastic. There is one way to make it a smidgen better, that's to record calls automatically. Is there any plan to make this possible at any point?
yourmother It is a button in the in-call UI when making phone calls with the default phone app. For most users it is one of the 6 buttons shown. In case it is not for you, swipe up from the middle of the screen, and then the call record button will be shown.

treequell for some reason mine has the RTT button listed in the 6 icons, so I always have to scroll down to see the call recorder option. Even though RTT is completely disabled, I have no way to make the damn button for it go away.

Call recording still doesn't work for me yet although when I make a call three way the option will show up. Or if I use Cheogram number then the option is displayed. Hopefully with an automatic call record option it will work in the future for all me calls
We need to record sales agent calls for training. I contacted support and after consulting with their escalation group told me this could only be done via a third party [something] -- they couldn't tell me whether this inolved third-party software, hardware or services and couldn't tell me the name of a third party who could record BVE calls. I'm pretty sure they were just trying to get rid of me, but in case I'm wrong, does anyone here know of a way to record BVE calls?
I use the Polycom VVX 1500 phones, I was told to use a USB memory stick and plug it into the USB port on the phone and you can record calls that way. I have been doing this since installation and it works fine for us.
This is how CDR works. People asked for each call to be tracked in CDR and CDR was modified to do that. This means that the CDR is actually now accurate, in that each call from the PBX to the extensions is now tracked as a separate call (instead of the old way, where the only call that got tracked was the one that picked up the call).
I know obviously it would have to be on a Jailbroken device anyway, but it is technically possible for a iPhone call recording application to be made, or is it not possible to hook into the calls or the audio input/output?
I know obviously there would be no 'official' way of doing it and certainly not from an App Store application. And I know there are call recording apps which place outgoing calls through their own servers.
You simply take the code that listens to the stream of microphone data inside the mobile Phone app and dump a file to storage as well as encoding it for voice calling. If that app calls an API rather than doing that processing itself, then you would implement the recording there. You would do the same for the incoming data and could either add time markers for later mixing or mix it down as the call is being handled.

To anyone with a fairphone 5 because I only have the 4. Does this app work with 2 way recording? I know it works for the fairphone 4 with lineage very well. Planning to buy a second fairphone but this is a deal breaker for me. Hoping someone can confirm that call recording from both parties work with the FP5.
Last I checked it was not optimized for android 12and it froze alot on my former phone so I focused on more projects that are actively updating their software more frequently. Skvalex has proven to be that software.
