Man shot during fight at Tacoma motel

TACOMA, Wash. - A man was shot late Wednesday night during a fight at
a Tacoma motel, police said.
Officers responded to the scene, the Calico Cat Motel in the 8800
block of Pacific Avenue, just after 11 p.m. after receiving a report
of a shooting.
An investigation found that two men described as Eastern Europeans got
into a fight with a third man at the motel, said Naveed Benjamin of
the Tacoma Police.
One of the Eastern Europeans was shot during the fight. A friend then
took him to the hospital with a serious gunshot wound.
The suspect remains at large.
A language barrier is complicating the investigation, Benjamin said.
