Parkland man wanted for allegedly shooting his girlfriend

Pierce County deputies are looking for a man they say shot his
girlfriend in the chest outside of their Parkland home last night.
Mauricio Paige-Colter, 34, is wanted for domestic violence assault and
unlawful possession of a firearm for allegedly shooting his girlfriend
as she sat inside her parked car just before 10:30 p.m.
Following the shooting, detectives say Paige-Colter drove the wounded
woman to his mom’s apartment on 104th Street South and then ran away
on foot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Paige-Colter stands 6’2” tall, weighs roughly 195 pounds and has black
hair and brown eyes. Police say he has an extensive violent criminal
history that includes felony convictions for drive-by shooting,
possession of a firearm, assault, narcotics possession, and witness
tampering.
He also has two convictions for resisting arrest and should be
considered armed and dangerous.
