Brian David Rivas
Tacoma police are looking for a man who shot another man in the head
after an argument over a woman in south Tacoma late Saturday night.
Police were called to the 5400 block of South J Street on a report of
shots being fired. They arrived to find a man who had a gunshot wound
to his head.
The man was rushed to a hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.
Officers determined that the victim and the suspect had been arguing
about a woman when the shots were fired. The suspect left the scene
soon after, and police were not able to find him.
But they believe they know who the shooter is. A Tacoma police
spokesman told KOMO that they are looking for 19-year-old Brian David
Rivas, who is also a registered Level II sex offender.
Police say that Rivas and the victim knew each other well.
