Tacoma Youth Ultimate - Strategic Planning

Greetings, Tacoma Ultimate Players, Parents, and Coaches!

Another year, another try.  You are receiving this message because you have expressed interest in growing youth Ultimate in the Tacoma region.  Adult Ultimate player and parent David Bluhm has been working hard teaching after-school Ultimate at four Tacoma public middle schools through the SPARX program.  He has expressed interest in developing a mission and strategic plan for the development of youth Ultimate in Tacoma.

I agree that a plan and clear goals would help us to develop the sport of Ultimate in the Tacoma area.  It is clear that there is interest and that the sport just needs a little more TLC and coaxing in order to bloom.

If you would like to help us develop a plan, please join us for a meeting on Sunday, January 13 at 7pm at Metronome Coffee (6th and Union in Tacoma, 3518 6th Ave).  Please invite others who may be interested (the list of current invitees is below my signature).

Ideas are important, and I value all of your opinions, even if you can't help beyond the meeting.  But we'll also need manpower to implement the plan.  Leading up to the meeting, please contemplate A) whether or not implementation is something you can commit to, and B) how we can recruit additional volunteers to support the plan that we develop.

DiscNW will provide beverages and snacks for all meeting attendees.
