Improving your relationships and people skills through self-
understanding

*Abstract*:
Want to improve your social skills and relationships? You need to
understand your personal styles and preferences to gain the right
tools for building the relationships you want. In this interactive
workshop, you will complete the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II, an
extremely popular personality inventory used by companies, trainers,
and educators to help individuals to improve their relationships and
life. Furthermore, based on your Keirsey results, you will gain
insights into your unique interpersonal preferences, learn skills to
communicate better, increase your understanding of others, and
develop your own social
styles.
*Speaker*:
Dr. Wei-Chien Lee is a licensed clinical psychologist (California
PSY 21222) at San Jose State University. She is also a Public Grant
Reviewer for National Institute of Mental Health and a liaison for
the California Faculty Association. She graduated from Purdue
University and completed postdoctoral residencies at Stanford
University and San Jose State University. She has numerous
publications and presentations in national and international
conferences and was invited to give training seminars to the
psychology fellows at the Stanford CAPS. Her research and clinical
interests include psychological health issues, self-esteem,
self-efficacy, interpersonal skills, identity development, career
development, decision making, training, and serving multicultural
populations.
