OS X (Mac) SMB Shares Not Working

Hello. Does FolderSync work with SMB shares from OS X?

Reason: I have my mac set up to share specific folders. I can access the shares from my Windows 7 machine.

I have NOT been able to connect to the share from FolderSync.

I create the account in FolderSync,

scan for the SMB share - which shows up, and add select it,

then I enter the user credentials, (leave anonymous login unchecked, also tried with it checked)

click on test account,

and it fails every time.

I've disabled the firewall on the Mac.

I can't figure it out.

Is this a known problem;

Has anyone else been able to get it to work?

The error message is "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password"
