syncs but with errors

-Foldersync Full Version

-AT&T Galaxy S2 (i777) running AOKP

-Sparking off folderpairs with Tasker

-syncing from local folder (some are local sdcard and some are external sdcard) to remote smb

It does appear to sync the files but I will get the following error message on I believe every file.

"/mnt/emmc/file" - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

I looked in the logs and I see the following "SyncTransferFileTask: Exception trying to delete partial file ajh: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

Then I see the this for the following log on the same file "SyncTransferFileTask: Exception when transferring file ajh: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

I would like to figure out what is happening.  Hopefully someone can help me.  I can provide more details, etc. if needed.  Thanks!

P.S. - How do you clear out the logs on this app???

I should have mentioned.  The files on the local sdcard are pictures and the external sdcard are Titanium Backup files.  Obviously I do not specifically have any apps running accessing them.

Does anyone have any help.  I am kind of disappointed by the lack of response on this forum (not just for my querstion).  Is someone on vacation maybe??!?

These errors are thrown by the Android OS and usually means exactly what they imply...

However there seems to be some issues with files on external SD cards on some devices. It might be a user access rights thing - there are some apps that try to fix this. Also, some devices doesn't allow normal file access to external SD cards for some reason.

I had the same error, occasionally ending up with a xxx.tacitpartial file in the target folder.

The following fixed it:

1. Edit the folderpair 

2. Under advanced, untick "Use temp-file scheme"

I don't know what the drawbacks of this workaround are, but it now works perfectly for me.  Seems that the permissions issue relates to the creation of temp files on either external SD or samba drive.  

FYI, the verbose logging didn't work for me - wouldn't display ("no text viewer") or send (stuck on "your email will appear" message).

My setup:

- FolderSync Full Version

- Local: external SD folder

- Remote: samba folder

- Instant sync mode

- HTC Wildfire S

- Android 2.3.5

If you have telnet/ssh/adb access use "lsof" to see which process opened the file

Even if I uncheck the "Use Temporal Files" I still have the problem.

Help please!
