Hello,

I have been looking everywhere for an solution for this, with no success:

- I have two android devices, both with the kitkat version 4.4.2.
- The first is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 SMT-210.
- The second is a HTC one mini 2.

- I use FolderSync to synchronize my owncloud-files with my devices --> I never had a problem til now
- in order to use FolderSync I had to root both devices, first came the galaxy tab --> went without problems

- I successfully rooted the HTC-one and started synchronizing my files hoping it would work from that point on...
- Well yes, it works but it doesn't synchronize everything. I have several files and folders which names contain special characters like ö ä ü ñ á é í ß. All files and folders containing this characters won't be synchronized or downloaded from the server.

- How can it be that one device with the same software works just fine with FolderSync and the other not?

- I have tried everything I could think of:
> I have created folders and files with special characters with other apps like the ES file explorer --> with success
> I have copied files and folders with special characters directly from the computer to the phone --> with success
--> this leads me to the conclusion that it cannot be a limitation coming from the OS itself --> it only happens when I start a sync-job with FolderSync.

It displays the message: "File transfer failed 'filename':[SyncFolder]/filename - Unknown error transferring file: filename".

I don't know what to do. I hope somebody outthere can help me out with this one.

I ould be very thankful for your support.

Kind regards
RH
