Hello,

I set my FTP server then tested it on another computer and it works perfectly.

I use the same settings in foldersync and when I hit "validate login' I get an error: 'I/O error in data transfer'

I also tried it with Active FTP on and get a 'cannot open data connection.'

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

I tried another ftp client on Android (AndFTP) and it works just fine
as well.

Having the same problem. How do you disable compression?

Compression is disabled on account setup screen.

Same story with me.  It only sync'd 1 file but "I/O error in data transfer" for all remaining.  It took 87 minutes, 31 seconds.  I disabled compression and encountered same results. Thoughts?

OK. Figured it out. I can't use WAN address from within my local network (i.e. on WiFi).  If on local network, must use the server's internal IP address.  If outside local address, must use router's WAN address.
