Hi,

I try to setup FolderSync to use with my owncloud via WebDAVs (SSL-
proxy).
The WebDAV URL is https://ssl-account.com/mydomain.com/owncloud/remote.php/webdav/

I already tried to setup the account, but it did not work, because I
can not enter a URL with a /.

Is the a way to get this done?

Thanks

Tobias

Hi Thomas,

I have a running configuration of foldersync on the one and my own
owncloud-Service on the other side. The configuration is quiet simple,
when you know how to do. The little trick is the path: try owncloud/
files/webdav.php, this path was given to me by my owncloud web
interface (settings, "Persönlich" (don't know the exact translation
from owncloud) following "WebDAV") This is the
way I use it for a couple of weeks now.

I hope it works for you.

Greetings

Stephan

Hi Stephan,

thanks for your answer! I got the thing going.

Protokoll: HTTPS
Server-Adresse: ssl-account.com
Startordner: mydomain.com/owncloud/remote.php/webdav/
nothing else!

Another Question,

I have a folder that I sync to the cloud.
I always get
ConflictingModifications messages.

Did you have the same problem?

Conflicting modifications is when both local and remote file has changed since last sync.

You can configure a folderpair to take specific action when that occurs.

Hi, I have a similar issue but the suggested fix didn't work for me. I have FolderSync full version in my Nexus 7. My address, according to my ownCloud server, would be "https://serviciosapelativos.net:20443/remote.php/webdav/". However, I enter this info as described in this thread and always get a timeout message. I suspect the ":20443" might have something to do with it. Any suggestions how I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

Hi again. I need to add that I started getting a "Bad Request" message instead, when I test the connection. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you entered the server address, start folder port number in the correct field? Having chosen the correct protocol type? (https)

Yes, I think so. After my last post, I think I found a good suspect. I run ownCloud from my own server, and I keep getting complaints from the web browser each time I try to access ownCloud from the web, about a lack of a trustfull certificate. I now believe this is what is holding FolderSync from connecting to my ownCloud service. Can you confirm that?

If so, just check allow self-signed certificate.

Hi. I tried that and got a "connect to 66.50.174.70:443 timed out" message after an aproximate 30-seconds wait. Here is my current configuration:

Protocol: HTTPS

Server address: serviciosapelativos.net

Start folder: serviciosapelativos.net:20443/remote.php/webdav/ (as provided by my server)

Port: [left blank]

Domain name: [left blank]

Allow self-signed cert: checked

Use expect-continue: unchecked (if I check it the result is the same, that is, a time out)

Login name: [provided]

Password: [provided]

This must be some small detail I am missing, I guess.

Don't enter server address in start folder field and enter port number in designated field.

OK, thanks. This might take me a while. Then I will report back.

Just to report I gave up for the time being, and will wait for an update that, hopefully, may resolve this issue.
