I've been meaning to ask this since you added this permission, but what is wi-fi multicast reception, and why does your app need it?
According to Google Play, this uses more power than standard wi-fi.

The multicast stuff is used to discover web and smb servers only, if you use that option when creating accounts (if the servers support it).
So its not used to transfer files or when syncing.
