New files in the Google Drive are overwritten by the corresponding old local files.

I really like FolderSync if it works as it claims. However, if I update a file in the Google Drive and then sync, it is overwritten by the old version in the local drive. I think it is because FolderSync uses UTC for Google Drive and the local time for local files. I live in Japan; so, if a file in the Google Drive is updated within 9 hours from its update in the local drive, FolderSync misinterprets that the version in the Google Drive is older. If my guess is correct, the opposite occurs for people in the U.S.: local files are overwritten by the corresponding file in the Google Drive. Please fix this bug.

Yes, there is indeed a issue here. It will be fixed in the next release, which will be out shortly.

yes, my updated local files get overwritten by the not updated file in my google drive, incident on 10-29-13
lost a whole day of work. 
is now almost a year and it hasn't goten fixed. 
i guest that my best option is to setup my own server and manage my own files.

google drive is a great idea but doesn't work.
