Retry sync if failed

It appears that when a sync fails and this setting is enabled, the sync is run again 30 minutes later. Is this an unchangeable setting? Will it continue to retry every 30 minutes until it succeeds, or after a certain number of failures will it give up?

Just would like to know the details about this setting.

It will retry if conditions allow (WiFi etc) and will do so until successful sync.

Well for me (just trying this) the damed thing is syncing continuously! If I cancel a sync it assume this is an error and restarts. This app is WAY too keen on syncing. I can see now way of cleareing pending syncs either. I have trhe apps set to sync every 12 hours (with retry) and so far sync progress looks like this:-

18:21 - fail

18:41 -  fail

18:47 - fail

18:53 - fail

18:59 fail

19:05 fail

......etc

19:40 - fail

19:46 - success

19:50 - success

19:55 success

19:59 - success

20:03 success

etc etc

20:25 success

20:26 fail

20:31 fail

@20:32 I disabled the retry!

This is jusy daft - or perhaps I am for paying for it based on the review!!

What is the setting is enabled which causes the sync to start every 30 minutes until successful?

 

Also, if I check the option ""exclude from force sync" will that eliminate the retries every 30 minutes?

There are no longer retries if a scheduled sync fails in the latest version - there will be no sync again before the next scheduled sync time is reached or a manual sync is performed.

Can this please be made optional? I'd really like the app to be able to retry upon failure. There are too many potential failure points during a sync with a remote host not to have retry capability. Or, the app may be in the middle of a sync when I leave home and switch from WiFi to 3G. Why should the entire remainder of the sync process fail just because of this?

Next version it will be configurable for each folderpair if retry should be enabled.

Hi, I know this was closed a long time ago, but I'm wondering - with the configurable retry option, is the time limit still set to 30 minutes? Also just wondering, is this on the Lite version or on the non-Lite version?
