Free Studio Background Images

In Inventor studio I would like to create a new studio lighting style by copying an existing style (Photo Booth) but with a different background image. We have specific corporate images to be used in datasheets etc. Can I import an image to use instead of the one that comes with the existing lighting style?

James, thanks for replying. Yes, I think that would work. What I've found whilst playing with this is that, back in the Inventor environment, in 'Tools - Application Options - Colours', I can choose a background image & that image is retained when rendering in Studio. I've copied one of the corporate JPEGs into the backgrounds folder & made a quick render to check that this works.

Here's one I quickly whipped up with an online image I found. Obviously the image resolution isn't what I want, but you get the idea... it can be done. This is straight outta Inventor, no post processing.

I'm still rendering in the Studio environment. The company I work for was bought out at the end of last year so we are now part of a group which has a corporate identity. As part of that, the marketing geniuses have come up with a set of background images to keep a uniform look across product datasheets, presentations, etc. The images are all a bit abstract & arty, not to my taste at all. We have to align with the way the other group companies show the products so not much scope for doing it differently. Probably best not to let me choose anyway, we'd likely end up with Godzilla holding a product in her teeth.

I guess the title pretty much sums it up. I am trying to add some background images to some rows, columns and containers, but I see no way to do this. Can someone tell me how this can be done please? Thanks for any assistance you can provide on this.

They take the jumbotron component and add a background image to it using a relevant class name of hero-nature then in their CSS they apply a background image to the class selectors background property.

To do something similar you would click on the HTML pane below the Visual Layout pane. This will pop it up into view. Select the element you want to add a class to then click on the Attribute pane below the HTML pane. In the Attribute pane click in the box next to Class name and give it a name and click on the Apply button below.

Now you will also need to add an image to your project. On the right is the Design pane. Right click on Images and select Import Images from the context menu popup. You will need to locate the image you want to use when you do you can double click it to import or select it and click ok.

You should be on the CSS pane with the styles.css tab highlighted. If the box below it is empty then just click in it to start creating your CSS selector and it's properties and values. If the box is not empty then either scroll down and click in the empty space below any other CSS calls or click in the space in between any of the CSS calls.

If you have your class you want to manipulate selected in the HTML pane on the left then when you create your CSS call for that class it will already be named appropriately. Click after the "{" then type in the word "background" then hit the Tab key and type in "url('bgimage.jp')" replace the image named "bgimage.jpg" with the image you imported in the Design pane.

Hi, Check the path of the image in the dashboard XML, eg- /static/app/abcd/images/abc.png , Go to your CLI and inside the search head app directory get the image out and put it on the same server where you wanted to move the image file.

One more way is to find the name of the image from XML and login to the CLI and run"locate " it will show the image location where it's available, you can use WinSCP to move the image from cli to your local pc and put where ever you want. Please accept the answer if you find this helpful.

1. Edit your Dashboard go to Source copy your XML file and then go to the server where you wanted to put the dashboard in, go to search, search anything like index=_internal save it as dashboard and then edit the new dashboard and go to the source of the new dashboard and paste the XML.

2. If You have CLI access, go to the app in search head where the dashboard is part of and go to views then find your view/Dashboard name and copy it to the same location where you wanted to create the dashboard.

Yes it will not move the background image you need to place the image at the similar location in the production environment in whichever app you created the dashboard place the image in the /app/static in the prod environment and the dashboard might be able to access it
