Not changed a thing on XG, even downloaded these drivers, using the same application, several times in the past. For the first time in weeks, I haven't had to mess with anything. This worked just fine before.

I even have a 'Safe Downloading' exception for NVIDIA, yet the firewall is denying the download. Today, the moon or the sun, or someone screwing with something must be the issue. Had this happen before on UTM with Windows Updates, and then it magically fixed itself days later.

Looks like the website is refusing to connect on their end.... You are attempting to browse the root of an USA Hosted, NVIDIA File Download Server.
To download the file you wish to access please use its full direct URL.

when you workout the answer, please publish it. My wife and I both run apple desktops hers an air, mine an map, I can download software updates hers fails. There are no anti software installed on either machine and we use the same wifi and firewall rules. Once I add a site exception the application updates, then disable the exception the application updates without errors.

Additional information, I thought I should add. The software downloaded and installed on the Mac Air along with a number of updates until the last update which failed. Both Macs are using the M1 chip.

Alan, I'm not downloading from a direct link, I use GeForce Experience, which tells you when a driver set is ready for download, then you tell it to download the drivers (or set it to automatically download them), and the domain is the same domain I've always gotten it from.

I checked my log viewer this morning, and I don't have anything identical to downloading drivers, which is about right - it's been over a month since the last driver update for me (Log goes back 30 days). However, there are a lot of other entries with that domain, but different sub-domains that were allowed and categorized as 'Information Technology'.

So trying to figure this out again, I get a notification of another download for drivers. I created a web exception in my Safe Downloading exceptions list which I add a regex entry for ^([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)download\.nvidia\.com/ and try again.

Why on this earth, would you tell someone's top rule of "No, not at all" to be bypassed by a shareware category of all things? Am I just not getting this methodology? That's okay, but adding my explicit regex exception isn't allowed? Does this not make sense to anyone else? For me, this just screams "Foul".

To take advantage of the GPU capabilities of Azure N-series VMs backed by NVIDIA GPUs, you must install NVIDIA GPU drivers. The NVIDIA GPU Driver Extension installs appropriate NVIDIA CUDA or GRID drivers on an N-series VM. Install or manage the extension using the Azure portal or tools such as Azure PowerShell or Azure Resource Manager templates. See the NVIDIA GPU Driver Extension documentation for supported operating systems and deployment steps.

If you choose to install NVIDIA GPU drivers manually, this article provides supported operating systems, drivers, and installation and verification steps. Manual driver setup information is also available for Linux VMs.

As an alternative to manual CUDA driver installation on a Windows Server VM, you can deploy an Azure Data Science Virtual Machine image. The DSVM editions for Windows Server 2016 pre-install NVIDIA CUDA drivers, the CUDA Deep Neural Network Library, and other tools.

For Azure NVads A10 v5 VMs we recommend customers to always be on the latest driver version. The latest NVIDIA major driver branch(n) is only backward compatbile with the previous major branch(n-1). For eg, vGPU 17.x is backward compatible with vGPU 16.x only. Any VMs still runnig n-2 or lower may see driver failures when the latest drive branch is rolled out to Azure hosts.

Microsoft redistributes NVIDIA GRID driver installers for NV, NVv3 and NVads A10 v5-series VMs used as virtual workstations or for virtual applications. Install only these GRID drivers on Azure NV-series VMs, only on the operating systems listed in the following table. These drivers include licensing for GRID Virtual GPU Software in Azure. You don't need to set up a NVIDIA vGPU software license server.

The GRID drivers redistributed by Azure don't work on non-NV series VMs like NCv2, NCv3, ND, and NDv2-series VMs. The one exception is the NCas_T4_V3 VM series where the GRID drivers enable the graphics functionalities similar to NV-series.

vGPU 15.1/15.2 installer process makes an additional remote call to ngx.download.nvidia.com. This is an unexpected change in behavior and NVIDIA will disable this by default starting with vGPU 15.3 or higher. In the meantime, update the following regkey before installing vGPU 15.1/15.2 driver.

Run nvidia-smi. If the driver is installed, you will see output similar to the following. The GPU-Util shows 0% unless you are currently running a GPU workload on the VM. Your driver version and GPU details may be different from the ones shown.

RDMA network connectivity can be enabled on RDMA-capable N-series VMs such as NC24r deployed in the same availability set or in a single placement group in a virtual machine scale set. The HpcVmDrivers extension must be added to install Windows network device drivers that enable RDMA connectivity. To add the VM extension to an RDMA-enabled N-series VM, use Azure PowerShell cmdlets for Azure Resource Manager.
