Hey!

So, a quick question essentially: Is there any chance the editor will be ported to the newest version of TableLayout / LibGDX?
Or, is there a specific reason as to why this feature wasn't updated to the latest version of TableLayout?

(As in, a good reason as to why I shouldn't spend effort on doing it myself!)

As usual, thanks for all the effort!

Cheers,

GJ

Yeah, along with its DSL.

Why do you think the DSL isn't interesting to support anymore?

I'm asking primarily because I want to either port it to the current version, or build one of my own, and it would be good to hear your insight into it before getting started.
I think the DSL would help with development for the UI designers that don't want to install an entire IDE.

I explained in the blog post. The DSL is amazing for a simple UI, but less useful for more complex UIs, especially when portions are dynamically generated. I found that often my nice simple UI had to be ported from the DSL to code because a portion needed to be dynamic. I think with a carefully planned API, doing the layout in code doesn't have to be painful and provides a lot of flexibility.
