Hello,

first of all: thanks for this tremendous effort in filling up the
datagrid-gap in the OS community.

I'm investigating your tool at this very moment and come up with two
'problems/issues' on which you might have an answer:

1) Since my column_names are rather cryptic, I want to use aliasses as
columnheaders as titles of my table columns for my users. Apparently,
it isn't possible to use aliasses in the base sql query that i'm using
to fill the table. If I do this, the columns doens't get 'editable' at
least not with a select-field.

Is there a known workaround that you are aware of ? Or should I code
this myself?

2) There seems to be a probleem when <select> boxes contain data with
a comma "," in it. After updating the field of a row (which happens
correctly), when you enter the same field again (and the <select> is
shown), the 'updated' value doesn't show up It's the first option that
shows. If I use fields without comma's, there isn't any problem.

I don't know if you are ware of this? And if so, can you give me hint
where to do some code changes?

Thnx alot again,

Filip

Hi,

sorry for interrupting you again, but just to let you know that you
can omit my first question (aliasses).

I found out that i could use the 'header'-option (as explained in your
faq). This option didn't appear in the tablegear.php file, so i
thought it didn't exists.

Anyway, problem 1 solved.

Leaves me with problem 2 :-)

Regards,
Filip

Hi,

Thanks for using the software...
I've confirmed the bug in Mootools, so I'm assuming that's what you're using... i've created a fix for it and released it...you can download here.. (you should only ahve to replace the Tablegear-Mootools.js file).

Thanks for that catch!

Andrew

Works perfectly now :-)

Thanks alot!!

As soon as I start to understand everything a bit better, I hope to
contribute (in one way or another) to what you have accomplished so
far...because it's pretty much a HUGE thing you have built.

And you can count on it that will pay you some money as soon as I put
everything in production and my clients are satisfied with
everything :-)

Kind regards,
Filip

Haha... no worries... I love that kind of recognition, but I just hope you get the most out of it possible.
You can help by just spreading the word... TableGear now supports jQuery and it's easier to configure out of the box than ever... I think there should be a lot of people interested although it's still sitting somewhat under the radar.

Anyway cheers, and let me know if there's other problems....

Andrew
