This is not really on the roadmap.
Not sure of the overall utility (how many people would use this now)
for all the effort and time that it would take.

Thanks Lu. I can't discuss the effort, I am glad for the time you spent on the project, but about the utility I disagree. It would be really usefull (IMHO), think for example this Use Case:

You have a table with a column for country and you want to filter for multiple country, or you have a column with User Profile and you want to see only selected profile, multi selection I think could be a very usefull upgrade.

apologies for the late reply -I didn't mean that the requested
functionality would not be useful, quite the contrary, I intended to
imply that the effort required to implement it would be unbalanced
with the number of users benefiting from it (unfortunately).
