Table Of Friends Sunday, September 6, 2020 

Tonight let’s talk what it means to “know and rely on the love God has for us”.

“If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.”

Table of Friends will meet in person this Sunday, socially distanced, masked at appropriate times, etc. A new restaurant at Walnut Hill and Audelia, Vector Brewing, has a nice patio where we'll meet. You order inside and then meet up with us on the patio: https://www.vectorbrewing.com/

They're very particular about the beers they brew and the pizzas and other food they make. They have wines, other beers, soft drinks (sorry, Don—no Dr Pepper!) and are very kid-friendly. 

When I was there a couple of months ago, they were very careful about sanitizing and such. If you're just not comfortable with meeting in person, we sure understand. Some of us were talking about how much we missed being together, so we thought we'd give this a shot.

OK, it's looking like a party! Two weeks ago we weren't celebrating Leslie's birthday, and tomorrow I guess we won't be celebrating Pat's. 

For a little extra incentive, I'll tell you that Lori and Keith Harrell are planning to make the trip from McKinney to join us.
