Vertical tabs don't show properly on startup

TabKit 0.9.9.9, FF 19.0.
As I have a fairly wide-screen laptop, I like to have all the tabs listed vertically on the left, with autohide. I have about 50+ tabs open, with solid background color. Whenever I restart FF the tabs bar only shows the first two tabs, horizontally, even though the tab bar itself is vertical! If I go into options, change to horizontal, all the tabs appear. If I then reset to vertical all the tabs appear correctly in the vertical bar. I do have a few other add-ons for tabs, though none are as useful as TabKit.
