Recovering lost tabs after extension temporary disabled

Hi!

I accidentally disabled for just a second this extension and lost all my tabs. I wonder if the there is a way to recover all of them on their windows just like nothing happen. The Great Suspender have this instructions:

There is something equivalent?

A workaround may be searching in history for fiabciakcmgepblmdkmemdbbkilneeeh (extension hash/id) keyword but that show me also the tabs I closed on purpose.

I'm afraid that's not very useful: "Suspended tabs history (last 30 tabs)", I had much more than just 30 tabs, and on different windows. Searching history with fiabciakcmgepblmdkmemdbbkilneeeh keyword give me much more (too more actually, also closed tabs).

"Closed tabs history (last 30 tabs)" is empty.

You would agree with me that The Great Suspender have this issue better resolved. I hope you could add a feature to recover all tabs. He say "This is the number one pain point of the extension" and probably this also the case with tab-suspender.

Is there a way to restore the Suspend History from a profile backup? 

I had to address a Chrome profile database issue by restarting with a new database, and bookmarked all my tabs (most of which were saved while in the suspended state), and now all these bookmarks wont open. 

I tried copying over (while chrome was closed) some of the profile sections for the extension like the databases directory, but by history is still gone, and when i click on one of the bookmarks, it shows like its ready to restore that tab, however the redirect fails. 

Any suggestions?

Hi,

In the most extreme case, if you have suspended bookmarks - you can always restore the original link,

by copy address of bookmarked suspended page that looks like: 

'chrome-extension://fiabciakcmgepblmdkmemdbbkilneeeh/park.html?title=...'

and paste it for example here: 

https://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/ 

and then press Decode button. 

Then there will be seen somthing like

 

'&url=https://www.......&' 

this is the original link starting with 'http..' and ending & excluding the & sign 

(I have marked it with underline in this reply).

Strange thing that without DB it can't restore tab!

Could you, if it doesn’t bother you, press F12 on not recovering tab and copy error from Console and post here, it can help fix this problem in future.

I had a similar problem after I restored my new MacBook from a TimeMachine image but I was quite lucky.

I use FreshStart to save sessions because I also use hundreds of tabs unfortunately. For whatever reason, my chrome private account had all its extensions after TimeMachine restore but my chrome business account lost them all (despite coming from the same TimeMachine image).

So I thought I lost all "tab suspender" tabs and tbh I didn't even remember the name of the extension. I just google using "park.html" and I found this thread.

So I re-installed tab suspender and then restored my last FreshShart backup and I could access all my sleeping tabs.
