Words of Hope and Healing -- Seeking performers/Save the date

Hey all! Many of you have been to DARCC’s Words of Hope and Healing and have experienced how impactful it is for both performers and audience members. We are so excited to host WOHAH again this year – scheduled for November 9^th. We are currently seeking performers for this wonderful event. Please see below and attached. SEEKING PERFORMERS: Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center is seeking performers for the 6^th installment of Words of Hope and Healing. This spoken word event provides a space for people impacted by sexual assault to share their experiences and healing through artful methods. Potential performers can be anyone impacted by sexual assault: family members, friends, advocates, service providers, and survivors themselves. We are looking for people to share their experiences by performing written pieces (original or not), or through submitting pieces for other community members to perform. We will be hosting short workshops on Thursday nights during the month of October to help people to polish their presentations. Past performers and attendees have reported benefitting greatly through experiencing this expression of resilience through words.
