Hi Gary!
I am sorry that you are having trouble with this. It is not easy, I
know and is a logistical nightmare.
As I was reading towards the bottom, you mentioned about riders riding
into NYC on the 10th or 11th. I would not suggest this at all only for
the simple fact that there is no where to park your bike.
If you had a police escort and a designated parking area thru the NYPD
that would be a different story.
Being that I live and work here and can't even ride my bike down here
anymore, I just want to give you a heads up.
I am not saying that one cannot take one's chances, but it would be
awful to come back to where you parked your bike and not have it
there. The tows guys here are ruthless and could give a rat's butt
about towing anything, nevertheless a bike. They do not use flatbeds.
I think it best, and easiest for peace of minds sake to take the train
over. It looks nothing like what you may have remembered in the past
down here.
There is construction everywhere and many pattern changes to the
traffic.
Just want to give you a heads up to save some aggravation in the
future.
:) Chrisie
