Upcoming Events 

• TA Bike Club will be riding Summer Streets on August 9th. Join the Slack channel to be up-to-date on the happenings. Otherwise, meet up at 8am at Elizabeth and Kenmare in the LES. 
• Bronx Greenways Ride on August 10th hosted by East Coast Greenway Alliance. A great ride to learn about the present and future Greenways in the Bronx! 
• Central Harlem Bikeway Committee is meeting on August 11th Virtually at 6:30pm. Be part of the fight to get the first protected bike lane in Central Harlem. 
• Also on August 11th - Halt Hochul's Highway Rally and Press Conference - We are working in coalition with many communities who are struggling with highways. Meeting at Continental Army Plaza at 10:30am on August 11th.
• On August 12th we will check on another greenway! Ride with us to look at the recurring issues with the Fort Washington section of the Henry Hudson Greenway. We will go slowly on the protected greenway, so bring the family! 
• August 20th - Join us for our Monthly Activist meeting where we talk about the things we need to change and create an action plan to do it! 
• August 26th - South Bronx Walk Audit we will walk around Mott Haven to see how we can improve it!  

Volunteer Opportunities 

• Summer Streets! Stop by our table at 124th and ACP this Saturday, 181 and Broadway next Saturday, or 191 and Grand Concourse on August 23rd to help us spread the word! I will be there 10am-2pm.
• Sign up for our Marshal Training! August 24th from 10am - 2pm This is a 4-hour course with a comprehensive curriculum and hands-on practice. The training is $30, but if you are an active volunteer OR commit to marshaling one of the three rides this fall we are supporting, the training is FREE. 
• Every Wednesday in the months of August and September we will be tabling at Tremont and Boston Road from 11:30-2:30pm about the Cross Bronx Expressway Expansion Project. If you want to help inform the community about what is happening, email anna.b...@transalt.org
• September 28th the Friends of 4 Parks is having a 5k/10k. They have asked us for a few volunteer bike marshalls.  
• We need marshals for the Tour de Bronx on October 5th! The Bronx Tourism Council puts this ride on. It is one of the largest free sanctioned bike events in the country. Help put it on! The Bronx Tourism Council hasn't finalized incentives yet, but last year they were awesome!

• August 30th Bronx Sole is doing a Whole Day Community Rally - 62 miles you can run/bike/skate 1 block or one mile.
