We are going to do 🚴🏾♀️
bike counts🚴🏾♀️ once a month. What's a bike count? A bike count is what it sounds like! We count how many bikes are using the street. We can use this data in our advocacy, proving there is already demand.

Bronx and Uptown Committee
New year, new energy (or the same energy 😁) We will be meeting in Central Harlem for our
Monthly Activist Meeting at 6:30pm on January 21st. We are still nailing down the exact location, but it will be Central Harlem around 125th Street. At January's Meeting we will:
- Have a special guest from NYC DOT. We are welcoming a planner from the Harlem River Greenway to answer questions about design. This is a great opportunity to learn about street safety and considerations planners need to take when redesigning a street.
- Preview committee elections
- Talk about our campaigns: Central Harlem Bikeway, Cross Bronx Expressway, Fort Washington Greenway, and East/West Busway.
Please consider running for Committee Leadership! The leadership positions are Co-chair, Vice Chair, Communications, Safe Streets Lead, Social Chair, and Coalition Coordinator. As part of the leadership team, you shape the direction of our committee. You also get first crack at any perks like event tickets, giveaways, and press inquiries.
Families for Safe Streets
Join Families for Safe Streets for their Annual Lobby Day. This is an opportunity to travel to Albany (for free) and directly speak to legislators about safe streets priorities. This year we are continuing to advocate for the Safe Streets Package, with the Stop Super Speeders Bill being the hallmark. We want to fill the bus!
Sign up here.
