Hello All!

You are cordially invited to a series of Walk Audits I am hosting in the South Bronx. Please join us if you can! These are great events to bring people in your life that aren't cyclists too. In this series we will walk around three Bronx neighborhoods to evaluate the infrastructure in the area and make recommendations for how to make it better. 

July 30th - Hunt's Point 

July 31st - Soundview 

August 26th - Mott Haven

I'd love to set something like this up for volunteers with disabilities that I support. However, it would need to be between the hours of 10am and 2pm. Any borough works I work with about 3,000 adults with disabilities throughout the 5 boroughs.

On another note, please see attached for an awesome event coming up this Monday. I've included additional details below.

Join Us – Staten Island Disability Unite Festival (Monday, July 28)

We’d love to invite your organization to table at the Staten Island Disability Unite Festival this coming Monday, July 28 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the College of Staten Island (Building 1P, 2800 Victory Blvd).

This is a day of celebration, visibility, and community connection with live performances, art-making, small group conversations, and visits from the Staten Island Borough President and NYC Commissioner for People with Disabilities — plus resources, networking, and pride.

Subject: Know an Org Doing Disability Inclusion Work? Invite Them to Table!

Please help spread the word: the Staten Island Disability Unite Festival is happening this Monday, July 28 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the College of Staten Island (Building 1P, 2800 Victory Blvd), and we’re looking for community partners to table.

This day of celebration, pride, and community features:

• Live performances and art-making around identity & inclusion
• Small group conversations (e.g., tax incentives for inclusive employers)
• Guest visits from the Staten Island Borough President and the NYC Commissioner for People with Disabilities, who will personally thank each tabler
• Quiet space, ASL, CART, Audio Description, and full accessibility built in
