Hello All!
Here are some events we have coming up. If you have any intel on cool events, community board meetings, or actions TA Bronx and Uptown should know about, feel free to email me directly!
On
June 17th at 6:30pm we will have our monthly
activist meeting! This is a time when we can discuss and plan for ways to make our streets better and safer. Come with your ideas, complaints, and energy!

If you have the afternoon free, Council members Althea Stevens and Carmen de la Rosa are hosting the fourth annual Pride Ball on the Highbridge. This committee helped open the bridge to pedestrians and cyclists, and continues to support efforts to make the area around the bridge more accessible. Join us on
June 17th at 3:00pm on the Highbridge to watch the
Pride Ball!
Calling all volunteers! The Harlem Skyscraper classic has asked us for volunteers to keep pedestrians and racers safe. Please sign up to volunteer as a course marshal on
June 21st. You'll get to see amazing racing and talk to friends and neighbors. TA is also looking for a few volunteers to canvas the area in favor of the Central Harlem Bikeway.
Lastly, on July 10th we will be talking about the
Fort Washington Greenway! The Henry Hudson Greenway at Fort Washington needs some attention, with tight pinch points, steep grades, dead ends, and recurring sinkholes that have led to closures in recent years. Join Transportation Alternatives, East Coast Greenway, NYC Greenways Coalition, and New Yorkers for Parks for a conversation on how to improve the greenway for everyone, with ices and light refreshments provided.
Meet on July 10 at 5:30 pm at the Little Red Lighthouse.
