Hello All!

We have not one but TWO virtual opportunities for you to attend on July 8th

First, TA is holding a webinar about the new 15 mph speed limit on 🚴 e-bikes. TA is forming a response. This webinar is an opportunity to learn about what TA is doing to fight back against the recent bike-lash policies coming from City Hall. It is also a great opportunity for you to help form our response! Here is the language from the announcement:

The Adams administration is proposing a rule to cap e-bike speeds at 15 MPH — a move that threatens delivery workers, commuters, and anyone who bikes in the city. Under this rule, a 50-pound e-bike would be subject to a lower speed limit than a 5,000-pound car on the same street. To help you understand the issue, on Tuesday, July 8 at 6pm, TA will be leading a webinar on what the rule means and how to comment at the July 14th hearing. Join us! Second, Parks 🌳🛣️🙏 is having a meeting about the Fort Washington Greenway and, thus, the sinkhole situation.
Date: Tuesday, July 8th 2025
Time: 6:00PM
Location: Zoom

The Fort Washington Park Greenway between the George Washington Bridge and Dyckman Street has experienced recurring sinkholes and closures. Stantec and Melissa Johnson Associates, in collaboration with NYC Parks, are conducting a scoping study to explore solutions focused on:
- Maintenance and closures
- Access and capacity
- Safety and security
- Drainage and infrastructure
- Other greenway considerations
Please attend to share your thoughts on the greenway!
