TA's Bronx and Uptown Committee Upcoming Events

Hello Friends! 

What are you getting into this holiday season? Anything Uptown and the Bronx Committee need to know? 

Things to Do: 

• December 6th NYS DOT is holding a hearing about the Cross Bronx Expressway. This is your last opportunity to hear from the engineers, designers, and other DOT officials. It is your last opportunity to make an in-person public comment. 
• December 8th is our monthly meeting to talk about the Central Harlem Bikeway and plan ways to tip the scales in our favor. We will get it built! Sign in at 6:30pm
• December 10th NYS DOT will have a VIRTUAL hearing about the Cross Bronx Expressway. During this hearing you can learn about the project and prepare to submit an official comment at this email: rehab5cb...@dot.ny.gov. Regardless of the Alternative they choose, the highway will be widened by at least 24 feet. 
• December 14th, with TAMAC, we will celebrate the completion of the Third Avenue Bike Lane. We will ride at a party pace, around 10 mph. Register here.
• On December 17th we will celebrate all the work we have done over the course of the year- join us! We will have food, drinks, music and more at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Register here for the party so we know how much food to get! 

Things to Read: 

• Upper Manhattan activists envision more park space on a closed highway ramp.
• NYC DOT released a report on reckless drivers. There is interesting data that is directly tied to the Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
