TA Bronx and Uptown Upcoming Events

Hello All!

Here are some events that are coming up this week! 

This weekend come out for the Big Boro Bike Ride! The Big Boro Bike Ride is an opportunity for some of NYC's best riding groups to ride together. TA will be at the start and finish line. The ride will go down Adam Clayton Powell Blvd, as such we will be collecting signatures for the Central Harlem Bikeway.

On Tuesday 9/9 at 2pm, we are back at it with the Bronx Walk Audit Series in Soundview. We will walk approximately 1.5 miles around Soundview investigating the quality of infrastructure and making recommendations to make it better. In Hunt's Point we mostly needed SHADE. In Mott Haven, we mostly needed greenery and clean tree beds. What will we find in Soundview? 

On Wednesday, 9/10 at 10:30am we are rallying for Health over Highways! We recently won a victory as the state has withdrawn their original proposal for the Cross Bronx Expressway. Now we are proposing OUR alternatives! 

Finally, on Thursday, 9/11 at 6:30pm Community Board 6 in the Bronx will be hearing about the Tremont Busway. If you want buses to move faster in the Bronx, this is the meeting for you!
