Hello All!
🚌🚲🛤️We have a location for our June Activist Meeting on Wednesday, June 18th! We will be meeting at Jalao at 2420 Amsterdam Ave in Washington Heights. We will meet in their back patio/outdoor space. The meeting starts at 6:30pm. As always, there is a virtual option. Sign up here!
During this month's activist meeting, we will discuss:
Open Streets Activations: How do we want to support open streets in our neighborhoods
15 mph speed limit + bike criminalization
Fort Washington Sinkhole
Harlem River Greenway
Central Harlem Bikeway
Cross Bronx Expressway
🎉💃🏳️🌈 Before the meeting, I will be at the Pride Ball on the Highbridge. The event is June 18th at 2:30pm. I look forward to enjoying a Pride event on a bridge activists and community members worked for 40 years to open! There is something poetic there.
We need your support! CB11 (East Harlem) is hearing about a bus priority project to help the m116 move faster. We had a ROUGH meeting when this was presented in Central Harlem. There, the transportation committee questioned NYC DOT's fatality statistics in front of people who had lost loved ones on NYC streets. So....we need your help! Please come out in person (1664 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10035) or online (registration necessary)
Other TA Uptown Events
Saturday 6/14 we will be at the Hunts Point Fish Parade
Sunday 6/15 Harlem Skyscraper Classic
We had to bow out of a tent but if you want to help collect petition signatures for the Central Harlem Bikeway, I can send you some materials!
Monday 6/16 CB 11 meeting about M116 Bus Priority Project
