Hello Uptown and Bronx Crew! 

Here are some things to stay on top of: 

• THIS THURSDAY DOT is presenting this Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Bronx Community Board 1 Municipal Services Committee meeting. They are presenting on a new plaza proposal that the BID supports. The location is the slip lane where Third Ave, Elton Ave, and E 153 St converge. - I have no link for this. If YOU do, please send it my way. Here is the address  3024 Third Ave, Bronx, NY 10455
• THIS FRIDAY at NYU join the panel discussion "Robert Moses' Legacy of Harm: Community, Power, and the 21st Century Fight Against the Cross Bronx Expressway" to learn how we came together as a community to defeat the worst plans for the Cross Bronx Expressway repair. IT'S FREE!
• Come to the Bronx and Uptown Activist Meeting Wednesday, February 18th at 6:30pm. We will be meeting at the BxArts Factory. This meeting we will have a guest from the Bronx Borough President's office to talk about the Community Board application process. 
• Volunteer to count bikes with us for the Central Harlem Bikeway Campaign on February 24th. Let's prove the community really does need this protected bike lane. 
• Ride with us on February 28th to the 32nd Annual Bronx Parks Speak Up. We will meet for breakfast and then a short ride to Lehman College. This is a really great event to support and learn about Bronx Parks. 
• If you don't want to ride with us but want to volunteer, NYC Parks has a clean up event for the malls on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd on February 28th. If you can go to the event and make connections with residents and community groups that may be interested in advancing the Central Harlem Bikeway that would be VERY HELPFUL. 
• Street Lab and APRSNA are recruiting high school students in Central Harlem to envision Harlem Lane and activate spaces along the corridor. Its a paid opportunity! They are accepting applications through March 2nd. 
• Read this Mott Haven Commercial District Needs Assessment Report. They talk a lot about transportation and public space needs.
