Transportation Alternatives ("TA")'s mission is to reclaim New York City's streets from the automobile, and to advocate for bicycling, walking and public transit as the best transportation alternatives. Find out more about us at http://transalt.org.

Our Bronx/Uptown Activist Committee is open to all residents (and non-resident, interested parties) of the Bronx and uptown Manhattan. We have monthly meetings, bike rides and advocacy events -- all are open to the public.

Monthly Meetings: We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Our meetings are usually hybrid—we meet in person at various locations in the Bronx and Uptown Manhattan, and we usually also have a virtual option for people who can't join in person. (Occasionally, our meetings are virtual only or in person only.) We send an email to this Google Group ahead of each month's meeting with the location and other info. You can also email us.
Bike rides and other events: Follow our public calendar to learn about bike rides, advocacy events, and other volunteer opportunities.

Transportation Alternatives (TA) is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization. This means that we do not support or oppose candidates for elected office, nor do we participate in any activities that could benefit one party over another. There are many laws governing our work as a non-partisan organization and we take our non-partisanship seriously. Accordingly, nothing with the phrase "Transportation Alternatives" or "TA.", nor any usage of our logo, should be distributed in any manner in connection with any partisan efforts.
