Dear Students,

We take immense pleasure to welcome your participation to the Ericsson Innovation Awards (EIA) 2022.  Open to university students of all age groups from any country, EIA is our global university competition that challenges students around the world to find innovative solutions with revolutionary concepts that save global challenges with technology.

With the theme of “Impact our Sustainable Future”, EIA 2022 invites students to kickstart impactful change in shaping a better tomorrow. Taking inspiration from the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), the students are asked to identify an interconnected challenge to tackle with their team and create a new innovative tech solution that can make a lasting change.

The team with the most innovative solution to address critical issues while impacting our sustainable future stands the opportunity to win up to 25,000. Submit your entry before 5th of August!

How the competition works?

  • 14 teams make it to the semi-final round chosen by Ericsson jury
  • 3 teams advance to the grand finale with the opportunity to receive an additional 1 month mentorship from a dedicated team in Ericsson to elevate their ideas
  • EIA winners and runners up are selected by a joint Ericsson and external grand jury

Ericsson Innovation Awards offer global exposure to the shortlisted teams as the entire experience of the finalists is broadcasted live and promoted around the world.

It feels like only yesterday when we announced that BlisCare team from the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, India, won the 2021 Ericsson Innovation Awards for their insightful way of digitizing braille. The students were mentored by an incredible team of experts who played a crucial role in their business case development.
