Java Developer with UI

Location: Des Moines, IA

Duration: Long term

 

Using a platform in WF using the YUI standard, but has been discontinued, looking at alternatives. Between AngularJS and JQuery

Building external user interface layer to interface with BPM 8.5.

Must Have:

· Java

· Spring

· Hibernate

· JavaScript – waiting to see if they are going to use JQuery or Angular

· HTML

· CSS3

· RESTful WebServices (consumer)

· JSON

Network/System Administration

Philadelphia, PA

12+ months

 

Linux background & ideally troubleshooting, scripting, and monitoring experience

PURPOSE

The Recorder Operations Support Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance of Recording Infrastructure services in both production and pre-production environments. The candidate will be a member of a 24x7 team and assist in upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting and overall improvement of Cloud based Recording Infrastructure

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Deploying applications into production, staging, and QA environments via automated deployment tool suite

· Working with a 24x7 operations center and engineering team

· Troubleshooting errors with proprietary and open source applications in production and pre-production environments

· Identifying, implementing, and documenting of technical SOPs for maintenance tasks

· Working with development teams to further operationalize applications with a focus on repeatability, redundancy and scalability

· Monitor the health and status of systems under management

· Ability to create and maintain policies, standards and overall system documentation

· Participate in internal development and testing of monitoring, analytics and troubleshooting tools

 

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Required skills (in order of importance):

· Strong troubleshooting skills – must have demonstrated substantial experience in the past in technical ops support role

· “Customer-first” mentality

· 5+ year experience in network/system administration

· Experience in Linux environments

· Familiarity with at least one monitoring/logging tool (e.g. Splunk, OP5, Nagios or DynaTrace)

· Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl or Bash)

· Experience with systems integration

· Experience with git/svn/cvs and software deployment tools (Capistrano, Fabric, etc.)

· Previous experience working with 3rd party vendors

· Possess strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex problems

· Ability to work with teams in a dynamic, fast paced environment

· Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Ability to work with/in teams in a dynamic organizational environment

 

 

Preferred skills (Nice to have – in order of importance):

· Experience/Understanding of MPEG-DASH technology

· Experience with Video IP delivery

· Experience with a variety of software and hardware operating environments

· Experience/Understanding of Couchbase

· Experience/Understanding of large file systems and object-based storage

· Experience with VMWare

· Experience with 3rd party platform as service provider

· Familiarity with web software architecture and frameworks

· Understanding of agile methodology and concepts

 

 

Job title: Systems Engineer III- BI Engineer(preferably Micro strategy, SAS, Tableau)

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: San Jose, CA

 

• BI tools administration experience (preferably Micro strategy, SAS, Tableau) with Windows and UNIX administration expertise. Candidate needs to have background in administration areas in general.

• Some experience as a BI user/developer (SQL, project/universes creation, report creation). Experience in reports metadata creation/management will help.

• Understanding data analysis and data science – preferably data mining, statisticians, data science, financial analysis

• some software development or programming experience – Java to other.

• Need to understand and work with our tool automation.

• Understand and work with business use cases that use BI tools

 

Required technologies:

 

•  Must have at least one of the following: Micro strategy, SAS, Tableau

 

•  Both Windows and Unix admin experience is accepted, however Linux a bit more desirable

 

•  Not looking for BI developer, but for a BI platform engineer who will host the tools, work with vendors, support the platform for other developers who use the tools

 

•  Will be involved with interacting with other vendors/developers, problem solving, and supporting in-house customers in regards to the tools

 

• Will work a lot with upgrades to next versions of software, participate in enhancement calls

 

•  Should  have programming experience, database knowledge, understanding of Linux/Unix

BI tools administration experience either one of these- Micro strategy, SAS, Tableau
