For those registered with the troop as a scout or adult leader, you may have received an email from Scouting America indicating that your membership was expiring. Last year, Scouting America launched a new membership renewal process that syncs with each member's annual enrollment date, and their membership fee renewal is tied to the month of their enrollment. Emails are sent to members (youth and adult) before their membership expires. Although individual members receive direct communication from Scouting America on when and how to renew their individual membership, the unit leadership can handle renewals for all members as it always has in the past. According to our council registrar, the preferred renewal method is that the unit handle this renewal for its members. This also saves you a credit card fee if you were to renew on your own.
For 2026, Troop 39 will handle the renewal of all its members (youth and adult). Please disregard the emails that you have received from Scouting America and follow the directions below. Please do not pay any money directly to Scouting America. You will pay your registration/renewal fee to the troop, and we will renew everyone's registration and make one payment to the council.
Membership registration fees/dues are now being collected.
The troop committee has set the amount for 2026 at $125. Cash or check is acceptable (checks should be made out to Troop 39). Please pay this as soon as possible. I would like to complete the renewal/
recharter process by January 27th.
If you are financially unable to provide these fees, please contact Mr. Payne as soon as possible. No youth should lose the opportunity to be in Scouts due to finances. We have resources we can utilize for this situation.
If your son is not going to continue in Scouting next year, please contact Mr. Payne to let him know your plans.
The leader's fee is $85.
